大德万古留馨　后学永远爱您

卅六年春　离乡背井　奉命承天运
Spring　of　thirty-six　(1947),　leaving　his　hometown,　following　Heaven’s　will
为普渡众生　抛弃了至亲
Leaving　family　to　save　humanity
烽火起断了音讯　考验频临病魔缠身
The　war　cutting　off　contact　with　home.　Enduring　trials　and　tribulations
前人不敢呻吟　最怕后学担心
Predecessor　did　not　dare　to　make　a　sound,　fearing　his　followers　will　worry

积劳成病牙根咬紧　泪往肚里吞
Sick　from　overwork,　clenching　his　teeth,　and　just　swallowing　his　tears
脚步不曾停　苦口又婆心　怕后学不知迈进
Never　once　stopping,　always　encouraging;　Afraid　followers　don’t　progress
没有斥训　委婉指引
Never　scolding;　Tactfully　guiding
循循善诱我们　无以报答前人
Teaching　with　skill　and　patience.　How　to　repay　our　debt　of　gratitude?
